Seafood Tom Yum Becomes More Delicious with ABfood Tamarind

Main Ingredients

  • 200 gr shrimp

  • 200 gr squid, sliced into rings

  • 150 gr clams, cleaned

  • 1 liter water or seafood stock

  • 200 gr mushrooms (button mushrooms or oyster mushrooms)

  • 2 stalks lemongrass, bruised

  • 4 kaffir lime leaves

  • 3 slices galangal

  • 5 red bird’s eye chilies

  • 2 tomatoes, cut into pieces

  • Coriander leaves for garnish

  • 2 tbsp tamarind water

  • 3 tbsp lime juice

  • 2 tbsp fish sauce

  • 1 tsp sugar

  1. Boil the stock until it comes to a simmer.

  2. Add the lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, garlic, and chilies, then cook until the aromatic spices release their fragrance.

  3. Add the shrimp or your preferred seafood, and cook until fully done.

  4. Add the mushrooms and seasonings such as fish sauce, sugar, and tamarind water.

  5. Stir well and cook for a few more minutes until all the flavors are fully absorbed.

  6. Add lime juice to create a signature fresh and tangy taste.

  7. Serve the Tom Yum hot and garnish with coriander leaves for an even more delicious aroma.
